COACHING WITH KCLL

As a volunteer run community organization, Ken Caryl Little League is always looking for strong coaches to volunteer in our Spring and Fall baseball seasons. Whether you’ve been coaching youth sports for decades, or are considering taking on a team for the first time as a way to invest extra time in your kids and community, we will equip you with the knowledge and resources to run a strong baseball team for as many seasons as you’re with us. Be warned- coaching baseball is highly addictive, and your other hobbies may find themselves on the backburner for years to come!

Generally, a KCLL coach is expected to exhibit these qualities:

-Is invested in the development of players’ skill AND character.

-Is a good communicator with kids and parents.

-Focuses coaching on process vs. results.

-Has a strong basic knowledge of the game of baseball.

-Is committed to building a positive culture, not just within their team, but across the league.

If this sounds like you, you can sign up to coach with us in just a few easy steps:

1. Log in to (or create) your KCLLBaseball.com profile.

2. Click the “Volunteer” tab on the left hand menu

3. Click the blue plus sign next to “Volunteer”

4. Add your details, role, and division for where you’d like to coach and submit.

That’s it! Once you’ve registered as a volunteer through the site, we’ll be in contact with next steps (background check, concussion training, etc). Please keep in mind, we do not always have enough teams for interested coaches. In the event of a coach surplus, the KCLL Board will begin the process of selecting coaches and/or finding coaches willing to merge teams.
